I feel like I have been holding my breath for four years. He will do all the damage he can in his last weeks, but already Biden has promised to get guys back to the Paris climate agreement, so I am breathing.

“Happy days are here again, the skies of gray are blue again…!” I was so afraid that the Orange Yeast Infection was going to pull some horrid shenanigan so he could finish destroying our country. Can you believe that over 70 million “deplorables” voted for him?

I couldn’t stop crying all through both of the speeches… Truth? Science? Decency? Unity? Compassion for others? Apparently we can’t take these basic kindergarten lessons for granted anymore but they are back for now anyway.

“All I really need to know I learned in Kindergarten” comes from a sermon by Robert Fulghum at Edmonds Unitarian-Universalist Church years before it became a book. “Stick together. Share. Hold hands. Wait your turn.” I was there when he first gave that speech.
[Fulghum never credits that talk (perhaps because he left his post under a cloud, though all seems to be forgiven now). Fulghum, according to Gary, had the best job. Every summer while the church was on recess, he was paid to go off and do what everyone wished they could. Ashram-in-Tibet sorts of adventures.]
