Gary is filling the gap in his woodpile he so carefully straightened and vacuumed. He used to object if I called our cords of firewood “his” but no more. He has never allowed anyone to help him cut, clean, stack, or rearrange that pile. Photos follow.

BEACHCOMBING

I literally plan to write about beach combing every single day I am on the beach and then I am distracted. I have superstitions (if I touch a stone, I should take it or stack it.) and good luck finding agates and a front yard nearly paved with my finds. We also attended an event this week and reconnected with dear friends, including one I was worried about. All good!

It is the sky that I watch all day at the coast.

EXERCISE

I got in a couple of running miles this morning. We have pretty much nailed down our weekly routine but I still have to think when I first wake: Where am I?

We found nineteen pieces of sea glass yesterday, seventeen the day before.

This photo isn’t from yesterday, big pieces but representative of the colors we most often find: colorless, pale greens, brighter greens, and brown. There are colors we each particularly rejoice to find. Gary once found a large cobalt blue piece. I love a peculiar intense and old blue-green.
